  1. (excerpt) I told him I would add swimming in the Mediterranean Sea to my List of Things to Do in This Lifetime. As I was getting out of the pool, he raised his right hand and said, “Okay, I confess, I was flirting with you.” (end excerpt)

Ok, I confess, I was flirting too, but it was great meeting you at Mary Doria Russell’s “Doc” reading in Cleveland!

    Bob.

  2. Holy cow, Susan!
(Further confession — I bought your book used from some seller on Amazon — and it turns out to have been inscribed by you!!!!!!!! “Barry, Thanks for reading. Books are good food! Susan — you also underlined your name and scribbled an “S” after it.)

That said, I bought the book on a whim and early this afternoon I when I wrote the “I’m on page 69” comment was sure I was reading a fast read/chick lit book that I’d stuff on a shelf and forget. WRONGO! I love the book, went nuts at the end, and will be recommending it to my reading friends as soon as the sun rises (or I wake up, considering it’s 1:30 am.)

Glad I sat next to you — have you published anything else? I promise I’ll buy new hard-cover. Might even drive to Cleveland to get it signed…

    Keep writing,

    Bob.

    1. Bob, you just made my night. Thank you for your kind words. I’m so glad you enjoyed A Body at Rest. I’ve published several short stories–links are on the “Clips & Credits” page. And I’m currently querying agents and larger small presses with my next novel. I’m very glad I sat next to you at dinner too.
